The Belta Reivers formed as a Geordie Folk Trio in 2019 encompassing all of their local songs with various jigs, reels and singalongs to provide a great show for their followers.
Originally playing to local festivals, they very quickly earned regular performances at the (then newly opened) Irish club; The Points in heart of Newcastles Bigg Market.
Entertaining revellers from both sides of The Irish Sea, The Belta Reivers developed a repertoire that made every night celebrate like it was Saint Patricks Day, alongside a host of local banter.
They became strongly linked with NUFC match day crowds and often provide both pre and post match entertainment, famously turning Newcastle United Football chants into full band arrangements and working crowds up to a roar.
In August 2024, in preperation for Newcastle Uniteds opening day of the season, The Belta Reivers again earned themselves regular performances at The St James’ Park Stack. This time creating a full five piece show.
They are currently preparing a forthcoming album and are available for Weddings, Festivals or Private bookings as Duo, Trio or Full Live Band....
